2008 Kia Rio

The Kia Rio flows into 2008 with a few strategic upgrades. Revised cupholders, a new center gauge cluster and a new shift knob lead the list of changes to all models.

The Rio LX and Rio SX get an auxiliary audio input port for iPods and such. Meanwhile the only other change is a new wheel cover for Rio LX.

While changes are few, the 2008 Kia Rio is still quite well equipped for an economy car. While the base sedan offers manual steering, no air-conditioning and narrow tires, the cabin materials are attractive, driver-seat is height adjustable, the instrument panel includes a tachometer and front-seat side airbags are standard equipment.

Opting for the Rio LX model adds comfort and convenience features like air-conditioning, a CD player, power steering, a 60/40-split folding rear seat, a tilt steering wheel and large tires.

If a taste of sport makes driving an economy car more palatable for you, the sporty SX versions add fog lights, 15-inch alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, metallic interior trim, metal pedals, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and a black-with-red-accents cabin theme.

Keyless entry, tweeter speakers and 16-inch alloy wheels are available on the 2008 Rio for even more comfort and a more upscale appearance.
